Coo

Hee hee...my kiddo is starting to "talk." He has had some pretty amazing adventures if what he says is true.

He already likes to talk on the phone:

The last weekend was great. Chris has Friday off, so we had a 3-day weekend together. We had dinner with some friends, got a new table for the basement (with some pretty imaginative maneuvering by Chris & Rodney), installed a new faucet in the kitchen.

All-in-all it was a great weekend

Merry Christmas...A Little Late

For Isabella's Christmas present I told here we were going to have a Spa Day and the Salon. She has been so excited about this. I finally got things set up, although it was a month late, and went yesterday.

Chris took Tobin for the day...being baby free for a few hours was as exhilarating as it was scary and a little lonely. Bella and I had a great time. She knew exactly what she wanted: Black toe nails with hearts painted on them, bright red lips, and mascara. She looked just like a Princess.

Part of her present was to go out to eat after the salon. When I let her choose...she chose McDonald's. Not my first choice, so I recommended Gattitown (think Chuck E Cheese only better). She was so on board with that she let Chris and Tobin meet us there later. We had such a good time. Good food, fun games, great memories with my niece.

Here are some pictures of our day:

Bella has the other two pictures.

Bowling

Last night we went bowling with Rodney (my almost b-i-l), my sister Michelle and her daughter Bella.

Now Shell & I are bowlers from way back. Mind you not great bowlers, but bowlers. We have both been on several leagues, we look all serious when we stroll in with our own balls and shoes. Shell intimidates our opponents when she whips out her wrist guard. Well, you get the point, we love to bowl.

When it gets around to Bella's first turn, she is soooooooo excited she picks up her 6lb. ball runs up the lane, drops it and proceeds to try to kick it. In the mean time Chris is trying to catch up to her to show how to bowl and ends up crawling part of the way out on the alley to grab the ball (my mental pic is making me giggle all over again, if I had had some foresight I would have taken a camera). So, Chris gets the ball back and show her how to set the ball down in the middle and push the ball with all her strength down the alley. It rolled soooooooo slow. It was a hoot to watch her enjoying something so much. All-in-all she did really well. She scored over 60 points both games we played.

Much to my shame Chris beat me both games. Now this is a very unusual event, as this is the only sport we play together that I can consistently beat him at. He may win a game by a point or 2, but usually I trounce him pretty good. Not last night. He beat me both games.
